What personal data we collect and why we collect it
While using our site, you may be asked to provide personal information.
When filling out the contact form, we ask you to provide your name and email adress. We will use this information in order to get in contact with you. Messages sent via the general contact form on our website can be accessed by all board members.
When signing up for membership, we ask you to provide your name, email adress and affiliation. We will store this information in our membership database and use it to get in touch with you, for example to send you information about network-related activities or our newsletter. Information sent to us via the membership sign-up form will only be handled by the secretary of the network.
On our site, we display a map with biochar-related activities in the Nordic (and some other) countries. You can choose to be included in this map, for example by sending us an email and letting us know. We will publish the information you provide us for this purpose.
During your visit to our site, your browser send information (so-called “log-data”), for example browser type and version, the pages you visit on our site, time and date of your visit, how much time you spend on these pages and the country form which you access our page. We collect these information for statistical reasons only. These information are not personalized, so we cannot connect them to a specific person.
Articles and posts on our site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you visited the other website.
What data is collected and how it is used should be stated on the privacy policies of the respective websites.

Information you send us with the purpose of being added to our map with biochar-related activities will be published there and available to anyone visiting our site. Apart from the information intended for the map, we do not share your data with any third parties.
